Construction/Project Scheduler

Anubis requires a Cost Controls Specialist to support our client in NW Toronto to assist the Cost Controls group on a large pharma/bio-tech capacity expansion project.

LOCATION:                           As Required (Currently NW Toronto)

REPORTS TO:                       President, Anubis

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working on the client’s premises with the initial assignment requiring incumbent to be on site in north-west Toronto, your responsibilities will include:  

  • Prepare Gantt charts, look-ahead schedules, resource histograms and other charts
  • Monitor, analyze, and forecast on a regular basis
  • Produce Logic Diagrams and Time-scaled Logic Diagrams as required
  • Produce and Analyze Critical Path Method
  • Resource load schedules including leveling
  • Review, analyze, and monitor Contractor, Vendor, and Owner schedules for schedule compliance. Report any schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Weekly and Monthly Reports including narratives, schedule updates, forecasting, trending, analysis and corrective action
  • Expedite, review and approve Contractor and Vendor schedules, to ensure plans are realistic and achievable
  • Incorporate Client milestones into the Project Schedules
  • Work with General Contractors to develop and maintain realistic schedules that are manpower (trade) loaded

QUALIFICATIONS:

The individual will have demonstrated career interest in construction scheduling.  We are searching for someone who is analytical, enjoys solving problems and will take ownership of the end result.  You must have strong ability to use either Primavera or MS Project. You must have the capability of building strong rapport with the construction team.  Ideally, you will have a Technical Degree or Diploma and related professional credentials.
